I am a Canadian tax resident and opened an IBKR account to buy stocks. When I try to notify IBKR a deposit via online bill payment, IBKR says to search for the payee “Interactive Brokers LLC,” but on RBC app I can only find “Interactive Brokers Canada Inc.” Did I accidentally open a U.S. IBKR account instead of a Canadian one?

I find the process quite weird using wire. IBKR asks for a "transaction reference number" (TRN), but that's only available _after_ you make the transfer from your bank.
