I just want to come here and vent because I can't seem to get satisfaction from Fidelity Customer Service. I had an inherited 403b that I've had for years. Barely 5 figures in the account. There was a larger purchase that I wanted to make in my area (home theater related.) The guy was willing to wait until I could get the cash, I expected 1-2 weeks tops. The first call the person in the 403b depar…

I have exhausted normal customer service channels and are getting nowhere. My wife’s Fidelity credit card (issued by Elan Financial Services) was closed due to “suspected fraud.” We were told documentation was required to verify the account. Here is what we have done so far: • Called authentication service 8662687231 more than THREE times to verify the status of the case (avg holding time is 1 hr,…

After 6+ years of using Fidelity exclusively for banking, investments, credit card, I am unwinding due to a terrible chargeback experience. In summary, I had purchased sporting tickets on my Fidelity Elan card. The tickets clearly did not note any obstruction. When arriving at the venue, there was a significant obstruction (near 100%). I attempted to resolve with the ticket vendor whom I purchased…

Fidelity says that sending money from my bank’s app will avoid the long hold period on funds. Well, how do I do that? I use SoFi, and trying to link my Fidelity account through Plaid for transferring or withdrawing just says “no checking or savings accounts found” and I can’t do anything else. If they mean a wire transfer, I have to pay a fee for the transfer. What should I look for?

I attempted to file my taxes on my own, but once I imported my 1099-Rs into turbotax it cut my return from ~3k to ~1.5k. I paid to have a tax expert from turbo tax file for me and after speaking the rep she is telling me that because I transferred the money from a Traditional IRA to a Roth IRA that it will be taxed at this stage. My understanding was that a backdoor roth conversion would avoid any…

Hello, I recently opened a Fidelity CMA and am slowly shifting my normal checking activities over to this new account. But I am having an issue linking my Citi card to it. I add a payment method on Citi's website and they tell me to be on the lookout for two small deposits to confirm connection. I receive an email from Citi telling me they've made the two micro deposits and I have 30 days to confi…

So this morning I started to do my taxes and noticed Fidelity Got Rid of the OLD Fullview Completely with no way to get to it. I now can't see any of my subcategories from last year! When I do a download into a spreadsheet all custom categories do not download. Just a preface, I have a 830 credit score, 3 instant card approvals in the last 3 years with credit lines starting at 10K upto 25K, 700K in cash in a Fidelity money market, my highest utilization on any card is 3.5%. Needed a 2% throwaway for monthly non-category spending so I applied for the Visa. It has been an ordeal since that moment. Got some cryptic message that I would be mailed a response …

With Fidelity and Schwab being the leading online brokers, I find it strange that uninvested cash (sweep) at Schwab earns close to 0% while uninvested cash at Fidelity earns money market returns. (Trading at Fidelity is done directly from a money market. At Schwab one first one must move the funds to cash and then trade.) My question is "how much does this hurt Schwab in their competition with Fid…

I’m seeing a major discrepancy in how Fidelity reports NEOS ETFs (BTCI, CSHI) on 1099-DIVs compared to Vanguard, and I’m trying to determine if Fidelity actually corrects this before April. **The Issue:** On my Fidelity 1099, BTCI/CSHI distributions from Jan–May show a high Return of Capital (ROC) as expected. However, from June–Dec, Fidelity is reporting a \~50/50 split between Ordinary Dividends…

He seems like a real person (found his LinkedIn) but the call itself left a bad taste in my mouth. 1. “Thomas” confirmed my name, but never confirmed my DOB, SSN, address, or any other identifying information. Wondering if I am dumb when it comes to taxes or if this has happened to anyone else. I opened an SPXW put debit spread in November of last year. I want to file my taxes before the end of February. Every year they seem to delay one or two forms into March or even April. I just got my "preliminary" form for the last account I'm waiting on, but the final won't be available until March. This is already after two delays for this account. What gives?

I know this is said a lot but the credit card company is horrible. Apparently it doesn't matter if you cancel a service they can just take the money out anyway. ELAN is horrible and I know it's going to be a pain but this is the last straw Im moving all accounts to a different service.

I imagine the answer is "Sorry, you'll just have to wait" -- but I received the last of my 1099s yesterday. Unfortunately, the 1099 for my taxable Fidelity brokerage account is still marked as "Preliminary" -- and despite the detailed listing of holdings including it, I see that it is Fidelity's FREL (FIDELITY MSCI REAL ESTATE INDEX ETF) as listed as the sole remaining preliminary.
